The Dodge Caliber, produced from 2006 to 2012, was a compact car designed to replace the Dodge Neon. Its unique exterior and adaptable interior were aimed to blend practicality and sportiness in a compact package. The Caliber was a sensible option for carrying heavier loads because of its hatchback design, lofty stance, and crossover-inspired appearance. It offered a variety of engine options, including a fuel-efficient 1.8-liter inline-four to a powerful 2.4-liter inline-four, and the high-performance SRT-4 variant with a turbocharged engine and a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Caliber's interior features included a "Chill Zone" beverage cooler, illuminated cup holders, and rear liftgate-mounted speakers. It also included GPS, luxury audio systems, and touchscreen entertainment systems. Entry-loved models focused on affordability, while higher trims added more features. The SRT-4 model catered to driving enthusiasts with sport-tuned suspension and a turbocharged engine. Production ceased in 2012, with the Caliber replacing the more conventional sedan design of the Dodge Dart.
